This marks day two of my blog updates.
Today, I'm going to talk about games and friends.
Let's start with games, and see where the night takes me. The first game I'd like to mention is the good ole Runescape. Sure, it's simple, and yeah, it's definitely old, but it never hurts to go back to a classic for a month. For example. I've been playing Runescape easily since about 2006-2007. It started with a couple friends. We would play every day, try to beat each other. It was the greatest thing in the world to us. We all had our characters up pretty high. For anyone that doesn't know, Runescape has two ways to play. Free and pay-to-play, or p2p. While playing for free, you get access to around 80 bank slots, a small number of quests, and a small number of items. If you never know the true difference, you could play the free version for a long while. If, however, you traverse to the other side of the world, and spend the updated prices of $5.95, a whole dollar more than it used to be, then you get access to the members worlds. This grants you innumerable items, quests, and bank slots, as well as the ability to level up some skills you didn't have access to before. I've been an on and off member since I started playing, and it's fun no matter what at times. At first, the quests are a blast, but after a while, they can become tedious. However, I keep coming back for more. It's just me, and this section got cut off horribly short and nowhere near where it should've been. You're on a cliff hanger. Sorry.
Moving on. We have some games that recently came out. Gears of War 3 and Skyrim to be direct. For any that know me, you know Gears of War is without a doubt my favorite series. This game answered a lot of questions, while still leaving a few open. It has successfully brought about the end of the Locust Horde, and Delta squad. The multiplayer has been revamped, Horde mode has been made fantastic, and the new Beast mode is fun to jump on once in a while. At the very least, the Season Pass for the first four DLC at the price of two was invaluable, especially to me.
Skyrim... I could go on for days, but I'll keep this short. Skyrim is packed full of content. Easily over 300 hours of gameplay, and you still wouldn't touch everything in the world. Within the first week since release, I had put more than 150 hours into the game myself. I've reached around level 39 with the character I finally decided to make my main. I have four characters. The first was a High Elf mage, the second an Orc 1h warrior, the third was a sneaky Kajhiit, and the final character, was an Imperial warrior. He's the one that's made it to level 39. The soft cap of the game is 50, the hard cap is around 82. That's assuming you maxed EVERY skill in the game. If you use the cheap way, you can do this in a matter of days, if not hours. If you do it legitimately, it could take months. Needless to say, it's going to be a constant for a long time in my gaming life. Granted, sometimes I have gaming mood swings and need one type or the other for a long while, but for that month where I REALLY need an RPG, Skyrim will be my go-to.
What else was I going to talk about...? Scroll up... Ah... Friends... Friends are the greatest thing in this world. They keep you from feeling lonely, they tell you how it is, no bull, and they'll always have your back. I've been friends with three people the longest. I've played games with all of them, laughed with all of them, and wanted to cry around all of them. I've floated in and out with these friends, but they've always been there. I can without question call on them in my time of need, and know they'll be there. I haven't really needed them for anything too important, but I know if the need ever arises, they'll do what they can. I know none of them will read this, but I will be there for them, no matter what.
So I guess this concludes my blog for the night... Not really anything else I'm in the mood to say.
